Do you ever have peeps come up to you and tell you "don't squat like that, bad for your knees." Gutdamn this gets annoying, every machine riding, smith bar clutching fool in the gym becomes a squat expert when i step to the rack. when squatting over 400 lbs one should 1/4 squat only, according to the resident "expert" proly juice-head in my gym...fuckers

1/4 squats are for sissys. i mean, this guy I work with quater squats, I crack on him all the timee. Parrell or deeper stupid fucks..Ass to floor wannabees

There are few of those fuckers in every gym.
 
never had anyone tell me I was going to hurt myself from squats.

People are stupid in college gyms, if someone told me that my first reaction would be to look down at their legs, laugh, then ignore them.
 
at the very least, you should respond with a

'you are wrong.'

one cannot overestimate how good that feels. especially when it's true.
 
People tell me that all the time. "Careful, bro, you might hurt yourself." I just smile and say "Thanks".

They're just looking out for you.

i just got knee wraps, never tried them before...how much should i gain from these??? any pointers? suggestions?
 
knee wraps help a bit. kinda like the bench shirt. Wrap the kneees and hope for the best. i never wrapped my knees in competition. i have squatted more than 2.5 my body weight

I'm close to 2.5 bodyweight squat, natty and no suit/wraps...

At least 50lbs
 
50 lbs? i doubt that...i was thinking 10-15.

50 lbs would put me at 505 apox, not bad for 180 lbs
and zero aas...

Yup... I just give um one like this :rolleyes: and finish my set. Most of the ones who tell me that are playing with the sissy weights on the smith machine and don't have a clue.

Get a good knee wraps and put them so tight your eyes will pop out and I guarantee you'll get at least the 50lbs.

You should strip down to your bra and mini-skirt and ask them to work in with you.

luckily, nobody says anything to me other than stuff like "wow, i never see women using the big plates" and stuff.
my training partner benches pretty bad for his size, but he squats like a madman in the 500-600 range with only me to spot him. nobody says anything. :)

Over three times my bodyweight..(obviously not a natty) never worn a suit cause that's just geigh......tried wraps several times, and they just feel too akward, I can't get used to them.
