hey guys some of you know i have been out of work for a little while.well good news i got a job ,,its over night ..how do you over night people adjust to this?how do u get all ur meals in and hit the gym..im so tired lol i need tips
 
It sucks, I work nights and get alot less sleep than I should. My gym opens at 4:30 am so I can hit it in the morning (5-6pm for me) or after work. I eat alot of meal replacement bars, the met-rx brownie ones are great!

Pack your luches in a cooler. Split them up in 5-6 meals using tupperware or such.
A magic bullet,,a solid whey protein is a quick meal too that will easily fit in a locker if you have one.
 
you have to learn to treat a night shift the way you would a day.
I did nights then stayed up for the most part of the morning then went to bed and slept until it was time to get up for work.
On your days off. Have a sleep during the day and get up early so you can enjoy the evenings. Eat the same as if you were on days as well.
did nights for 10 years. Your whole life is different.
 
ok, in an 8 hour shift that is usually what i get...
i drink a shake upon waking, workout, eat a HEAVY meal post-workout, eat moderate meals on breaks because of time, and a heavy meal on lunch... then when i get home i eat immediately, and before bed another...
hopefully you will get used to it... my job is very fucking physical, so eating on a 15min break and getting right back into heavy labor sucks, somtimes i feel like im going to vomit... havent yet...
 
yeah i work 12hr night swing shift. I have to make my meals for 2-3 days in advance or i dont get to eat like I should. I work 5pm-5am so after work i have to get home get my daughter on the bus then i get to hit the gym then get in bed, so basically i get maybe 5hrs of sleep on the days i do work during the week and 7ish on the weekends. Just have to get into the swing of things.
 
hey everybody thanks for the helpful tips..yea once i get use to it i can swing it..hopefully this wont be perment just temporay
