MY mistake!
I wanna add just one thing to this original post. I got an email from someone who is going into his first meet and asked a bunch of questions , and one was the 20lb rule. I have a three, lift full power meet i am doing in June but it has been so long since i have competetd full power that i am out of that mind set. The 20lb rule is for bench. Squat i would do around 50lbs less, reason being you dont know how low the judges are gonna make you go. That is th ecause of 80%of bombouts in full power meets The squats! Deadlift would be also around 50lbs less. Reason...you dont know if your gonna be hurt. My last full power meet i had some hip pain leading up to the meet. And didnt realize how much it hurt, so that along with me bring 5 new guys who had never lifted when i was up to do my 650 opener i had warmed up with 315, 405 , 495. When i was doing 315 i couldnt go anywhere near parallel my hip was fucked up. I came out did my opener and it was all i had. So deadlifts rolled around i had to pull my opener just about staight legged. So point is you never know what is gonna happen during the squat , or bench. YOu may be a little fatigued or hurt so 50 lbs is safe. Some people maybe more. Sorry but i just wanted to clear that up. So if you squat 600 for 1 hard rep dont open with 580!
