Starting today... dude I'm so psyched that the placebo effect alone (from the excitement of starting) will probably push me to new levels before the gear even begins to kick in! I've been waiting FOREVER for my gear to get in, and it's here and it's looking good. I held out for the 400mg/ml deca instead of the 100mg/ml crap that everybody and their brother seems to be peddling, and I think it'll be worth it to have that nice low oil content (comparitively). I also sourced some Sust 250 that I'll front-load with. I've done my research and the damn horror stories from test turn me off as a newbie, but I think it'll be nothing but beneficial considering how hard I train (clean). The poundage and strength should just pop... I can't WAIT!
Besides that, I had a good week so I'm psyched to take it to a new level! I FINALLY got the damned 110's up for 9 clean reps flat earlier this week. My chest is horribly weak compared to the rest of me, and this feels good. Got the 80's overhead for 11 reps clean on shoulder presses and 405x9 on squats for the first time since high school... I can't wait to see what kind of sick shit begins to happen in about 3 weeks!
I'm 25, 178-181lbs (depending on how many shakes are in my belly), ex-semi-pro mountain/dual slalom biker and have been lifting seriously for 2 years; last tested at 4.7% body fat. Doing the standard-issue (as suggested in Anabolics 2000 and a zillion other places) 200-400 10 week deca (pyramid in the middle) cycle... might extend it to 12 weeks if no gyno and my wanker still works, and I work out with by far the biggest freak in the gym who pushes me harder than any pro trainer I've ever had.
Hoping for 20lbs solid. Is this realistic?
