Time to get back up again...

b fold the truth

Ever been hit hard with something? I guess I've been hit pretty hard over the past few days in a lot of directions. It is hard to know who to trust, what to believe, and what direction to turn...

Time to get back up off the floor (even though it is hard) and get back moving in the right direction.

I know exactly what you mean man, and im sure most others have been there before too. But as long as you get back up, its not that bad. Whatever it is, things always have a way of working out in the end. Just thinking about strongman stuff and cheer up ;)

Woke up...my girl sent me one of the sweetest emails I've ever gotten. Makes a lot of me feel better.

Time to eat, get my ears lowered, eat, train, eat, pack for St. Louis, eat, sleep. :)

The measure of a man isn't how tall he is when he gets knocked down. It's how tall he is when he gets back up.

Cheers,

I have totally been there man. keep your head up

on a positive note I finally did sled drags,It was me a old wooden kids sleigh stacked with a whooping 150lbs on my 35 ft 30 degree incline driveway for a hour, but hell it burns the legs back and traps. you all can laugh at my crappy setup I sure did

I know I'm a couple days late responding to this, butI've been away. I hope things are better for you now big brother. You know you can call me if its still hard to get back up.

Then again...with the pundages you pull from the floor, I would think getting up to be pretty damn easy:)

Today...I stood up, then I went down...way down. I then stood back up and racked the bar. Then they took my knee wraps and belt off of me...and life was good.

I always seem to hit some major life hurdle every cutting cycle. It's frustrating, but you learn you can't control everything, and you just have to work with what you've got. This time, I was forced into traveling the last four weeks of cutting - living in a hotel with no gym nearby and no hotel gym, living off protein bars, long travel days, long meetings I was directing so I couldn't eat according to my schedule, etc. I'm actually to the point I'm seriously considering quitting consulting and finding a regular job. Unfortunately, travel goes hand-in-hand with consulting, and after 8 years of being thrown all over the place, I'm sick of it. Not to mention, that type of life is in direct conflict with my competing life.

I think life likes to throw us these curveballs just to keep us on our toes; I'd be bored to death if I never had this type of stress to deal with, but damn, it would be nice if ONE of my cutting cycles actually went according to plan!

I couldn't agree more. Any jackass can keep going when things are on the up and up, it is the true champions who do it when distractions and obstacles arise. That is what separates champions from those who never were.
