Time to delete this board

This was originally to be a place for people who competed in endurance events or had personal goals for endurance (run a mile, whatever, doesn't have to be something special).

Instead it's become another extension of the muscle heads for finding a way to loose fat or whatever.

Let me sum up everything you need to know if that's why you're here: clen.

This is not at all what I had in mind when I went searched out the queer bars of San Francisco to find the internet programing nerd known as 'George Spellwin' and fufilled his request of oral in exchange for setting up this board.

Delete it. Destroy it. STart a new board. Give me mod powers so I can move the fat-loss posts to the cesspool that is the anabolics board where young, fresh faced children will post in reply to your question: 'clen.'

Or keep it and just rename this board the 'How to loose fat' board.

But it would be great if we could get an "Endurance Sports" that focused on performance and how to improve. I just wish we could get one without having to have Spellwin's balls on my chin again.

If you want a board dedicated to endurance sports that what you need to be on. People read the title of this board and take it for what it says. Dont get pissed at them for posting and answering cardio related questions on a cardio board.

Dude, I got this board created. I started a petition and got it create. My name is in the board listed as "Created by:"

Syn,

Have no fear. There are those of us here, albeit not many, that take "Elite Fitness" to mean more than benching 10,000 pounds and having 0.5% body fat.

While this board may have a bit of a misnomer compared to the interests of the majority of posters, this forum is needed.

Perhaps just a name change to "Endurance Sports", and you for mod? You obviously have a passion for this, so I only see it in the best interest of Elite Fitness.

:coffee:

Im not trying to debate who created this board or what it was originally intended for, Im just saying that the name does not indicate endurance sports to the typical EF member. Most of the people on this boarrd are here for bodybuilding purposes so that needs to be taken inot account then naming a board.

I think it's the nature of EF, though. The majority of members are here for the ana info or to learn more ways to increase their bench. To each his own. I think this board is a great idea, but a) it will never have the traffic the other boards have and b) it's not always under anybody's control as to what gets posted by the members. That being said, I think it's a good board to have and synpax obviously has some great knowledge and passion he can share with other members.

Are you interested in changing the name to "Endurance Sports" or something similar?

Spellboy definitely needs a REAL endurance board. Thats the direction i'm going in now. I like how this board does it:

I don't think we need that many forums but just ONE solely for endurance training (not diet) would be great....and give me mod powers on it too. Synpax, did you read I started long term training for a triathlon?

DT - Yeah - IM. I just did my first. Which are you doing?

I agree another ENDURANCE SPORT board should be created. That is what this was suppose to be in the first place.

Just 5Ks, 10Ks and half century bike rides for 2006. I might do a sprint triathlon if I can find one near the end of the year.

Have you done a century yet? I am making it my goal for next fall.

I've done 4 fulls plus the MS 150 which was over 2 days. It's been about 9 years since I've ridden more than 40-45.

Cool. I did the MS 30 a few months ago. I am actually thinking of trying to link my quest for 100 to a charity (preferably Alzheimer's)

Be advised - some of my training rides were of that distance and I was fine, but when I did the 112, I could not feel my junk properly for DAYS. Might be because of the triathlon-style of riding (aero, fully forward). It does, actually, work just fine, you just can't feel it. It does come back after a week after a while.
