My wiggas, we had some nasty ass Summer Thunderstorm last night: Lightning, Thunder, Rain, Wind, Hail, you name it, we had it. We even lost power for about 15 mins... first time in 5 years

Battling the Elements, the Brave Pintoca stood against all odds and took the pics below from the Balcony of the Pintoca State... some heavy shit going on.

Holy shit, nice pics. Did that crane get the axe?

I got stung by lightning last week.

neeeh, the lightingn was far away, it looks lose though, but the thunder took about 4-5 seconds to reach us... you do the math.

The pics took a lot of patience though, I shoot about 200 pics in total, got probably some 15 lightning ones... all about 1 min exposure

The first bolt is gigantic. I believe it 'tis punishment for losing the World Cup match

How did you capture those pics? It's generally difficult to capture lightning!

Very cool pics. Just wish you could've made them a little larger :D . I've always been drawn toward bad weather. Love it just before a storm when the wind picks up and gets real dark.

Nice Pics Pinto. A real man would have been at the top of the crane shooting though. Better vantage point.

Next time, try stopping down the aperture to f/16 or more, the exposures will be longer but it will star all the lights in the foreground as well.

lol, sorry to post this and go, but I have to take a shower

and yesterday I had to go to the gym, before another Storm.

and yes, I was crying while taking the pics and balled up next to the tripod.
