Throbbing headaches while on AAS?

Hey folks,

Just wondering if anyone ever gets pounding, throbbing headaches while on any kind of AAS? Particularly test and / or tbol. I just started my test enth / tbol / tren cycle 2 weeks ago (still haven't gotten to the tren yet)... and I've been struggling with these headaches... mostly in the center of my forehead, sometimes feeling it behind my eyes... feels like a vice squeezing real hard.

My doctor first suggested Motrin... didn't really help... then he prescribed imitrex for migraines...that works to a minimal extent... my bp is normal... I do have seasonal allergies but I've been taking zyrtec and flonase for months now... don't really have any other allergy symptoms so I'm not sure that it's from that.... I've also tried sudafed, thinking it might be a sinus problem... that didn't help...

So I'm left wondering if it's either the test or tbol... though test has never bothered me before like this....tbol, well this is my first time...

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hows your vision? I used to get some seriouse headaches before and it was due to my vision....I've never experienced headaches on test or tbol..but it can be common due to hight BP..but you stated yours is fine...

Drop that imitrex if you're still on it / thinking of taking it again. I suffered from migraines for years, thinking it was low blood sugar. In the end I've figured out mine were triggered by high heat + bright lights. So training + tanning afterwards left me curled up in a fetal position for 2 hours. Migraine meds fixed the tunnel vision and slurred speech but left me in a haze for 8 hours. I'd rather suffer for 2 hours than be a waste for an entire day. But, from what you describe, it's not migraines.

Do you work in front of a computer all day or wear glasses? It may be eye strain coupled with allergies. Do your eyelids twitch towards the end of the day?

my first thought was high bp, but you said yours is ok. maybe try checking it several times per day. bump for ya
did you tell you doc you were on AS?

you're right, imitrex does put me in a fog... I do stare at a computer screen all day... and maybe it could be allergies.... not sure why it just starting happening out of the blue though... seemed to start at about the same time I started my current cycle.... I'm scheduling another appt with my doctor and now I'll do the same with my eye doctor - thanks!

i used to get really bad headaches and would check my BP and it was fine...then i started getting em again and when i checked my BP it was like 149/98...i would check it often..

Make a note if you have more headaches on weekdays or weekends, ie - when you're working or not. It could very well be a reaction to the AAS coupled with meds/allergies/eye strain. Just try to track what you've been doing when it hits you to try to track down the source.

a couple of posts have stated BP...........Check it several days, morn, noon, evening,That will give you a better indication of things, several things will contribute to high BP, bloat, eye strain, stress, not enough sleep.etc!
