Thoughts or help?

I think I have decided to change my mind a bit. I am taking the advice I have read on EF. I am going to keep my diet clean, do cardio, and weight train for awhile before using anavar, or winstrol.

I have used anavar in the past and liked it, but I am a bit nervous about winstrol. The sides are a little scary. Outside of anavar clen is the only other thing I have tried. I stopped clen after 2 days. I did not like the feeling and it made my chest really tight.

I am still on my strict low carb phase. I have lost 3 lbs this week.

I am still contemplating an ECA stack because I do need some extra energy. I feel pretty sluggish.

Any thoughts? :)

How many grams carbs a day? What kind of carbs? For how long have you been in the stage for?

Great you're keeping your diet clean. Not only you will lose weight, but you'll be healthier and will feel better.

If you need any help with diet, let me know.

btw, keeping your carbs low for a long period, will backfire later on.

I am not sure the percentage or amounts of carbs. This is usually what I eat on what I refer to as my low carb phase, and I only plan on being on this for 3 weeks. Then adding back in more complex carbs much like many clean eating logs I have read about on EF.

Meal #1...am..usually 2 slices turkey bacon (I have a very hard time eating upon rising)
Meal #2...4oz of either chicken breast, turkey, fish, or lean beef and a veggie usually broccoli, cauliflower, or green beans
Meal #3...same as meal #2
Meal #4...usually a snack like peanuts...
Meal #5...same protein source as meals 2 and 3 but usually with a small salad

I have been drinking alot of water. I am almost totally "weened" off of diet soda. I didn't realize that diet was so bad for you but I am learning and trying to change my lifestyle.

I am hearing that green tea may be something good to add in. I am going to go buy some. I have never had it before because I have never drank coffee or tea..never really liked the taste.

I have been eating this way for a week and planned on continuing for 2 more weeks. That usually eliminates many of my cravings, then I am good to go.

I still would like to add in something like a fat burner that will provide energy, but when I end them I get so tired and sluggish.....

That is hardly any carbs. You need complex carbs, which will give you energy and in turn will speed your metabolism helping you bur fat.

You need brown rice, quinoa, oats, millet, couscous, sweet potato. Those are energy carbs. Having just vegetables is not enough.
Do you train in the morning? Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. Your body has been starving... for what? depending on your last meal.
Have a more substantial breakfast. Can you eat oats? maybe you can have otas and turkey bacon for now? I don't know the macros of t-bacon, but you should get between 20-30 grams of protein.

I highly recommend green tea. Its an antioxidant, great for your skin, digestion and a host of thigs.

Good for you for giving up the soda and keep drinking that water.

Ok. I will add in more complex carbs. It just seems that when I do my cravings are worse. Atleast for a short time.

More complex carbs help burn fat? Can you please explain this process to me? :) I am trying to learn all I can.

I train whenever I can. I am a full time student and mother of 5 so it varies on a daily basis.

One main motivator for me is when people tell me "oh, you look great for having 5 kids"......umm...does that mean if I didn't have 5 kids I would not look great???

Carbs give you energy, so when you have complex carbs your metabolism speeds up, therefore you'll burn fat; providing you eat clean with small frequently meals. If you don't eat enough food, your weight will stall.

I have been doing ALOT of reading on EF the past few days. I am taking in information. I am realizing I did not know a damn thing about weight loss or fitness. WOW!!!

I am quite humbled by what I did not know. What I thought I knew is actually very basic, and things I did believe are in fact a bunch of crap used to sell books or the "hot" concept.

My goals are to lose body fat. I have no idea what my percentage is. The last time I saw calipers was in a biology class 10 yrs ago. I have fat stored in small amounts everywhere but my biggest area is the abdominal area...Idk if it is due to 7 pregnancies resulting in 2 miscarriages in second trimester, 5 babies, or the crappy way I have ate in the past. I did post my measurements in a p[revious post in August.

I would say I have been conditioned to say "I want to be toned" but in fact what I want is muscle. Not in the mass my husband strives for but I def want noticeable definiton.

I was under the impression that I needed to lose fat and then work on building muscle but I know am learning that I should be doing both at once. And that my "circuit training" may not be the best approach.

Am I relearning in the correct way???

Can you add anything in the oatmeal...like honey or a sugar substitute...or strawberries?

This is my recipe:

1/3 c oatmeal
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 whole cloves
Cinnamon
Splash of nutmeg
Stevia to taste (1 or 2)

Yummy!!

You're doing great. Just keep working at it and you will start seeying results when you least expected.

I was having a hard time with the complex carb thing too. I did low carb for a very long time, but with the help of this board, I've added in brown rice, sweet potatoes and quinoa recently. I do small portions at my three earliest meals each day. It's really helped my energy levels, workouts and hunger levels. And my weight has gone down not up! Pretty cool.

I haven't done any new measurements and probably will not for another week or so...but I have lost 3 lbs. I am happy with my accomplishments. I am feeling better.

That's great! keep up the good work..

I wouldn't suggest any fat burners at this point. If you keep eating clean, you'll continue to lose the weight.

Would it be okay to add a fat burner before my workouts? If so, any ideas?
Hey you - welcome to EF!

I agree with Thandie about not adding a fat burner right off. This will give you time to adjust your diet so that you are losing weight. Otherwise you may not be able to pin point what the problem is when you stall. However, I do know us ladies are pretty darn stubborn and you'll probably go to your local store and get something off the shelf. There are a few things that I have found to be more affective no matter what bodyfat % you are at.

- Yohimbe and green tea (PM me and I'll get you a good source for the Yohimbe - I don't have it on hand at the moment). The effects of this combo are most known for releasing stubborn fat but the key is to take it pre morning cardio on an empty stomach. I would take it 30 - 45 minutes prior. You can eat your normal breakfast after the cardio. There really is no need to take it on non cardio days.

- Another option is a product called LipoStim from AGXsports.com

Neither of these can take the place of a tight diet but if you are itching and would mentally be more satisfied if you had one - these two are go to's.

Another thought is to cleanse your system to get all the crap out so that you can start fresh with your new healthy diet. I'm not recommending products - although there are some good ones out there - you can simply do this with foods. Juicing is a perfect option followed by adding more raw foods to your diet. By eating everything cooked, you are missing out on important enzymes that are needed for digestion and elimination.

I wish you success - seems like you are well on your way!!

I have lost 6 lbs so far, and I can tell a difference in the abdominal area. Small difference but that is a great start for me.

My arms are sore today...they are the weakest part of my body....its a good sore though :)
