Thoughts on giving father gw501506?

My dad is 55 years old, 6ft, and I would say his body fat is somewhere around 25-30%, although he hasn't been tested. He is currently on TRT, applying Testim gel ED. His level was 210 before starting treatment, and now a year later it is around 340. I have asked him about trying injections and maybe going on some kind of anti-estrogen but he refuses because he thinks having higher T than he is now will cause other problems. Any thoughts on him trying GW-501-506 for 4 weeks at 5mg ED, or would this be rather irresponsible?

my thought? don't mess with your dad, remember every drug carries conquences, the best thing you can do for him now in to get him doing some cardio, Exercise will slow down the aging process and lower BP plus a host of other things. And i must say if you could get him on an exercise program so much the better, but! More drugs aren't the answer.

Please have him read this

GW501506 would help, but unlike aicar, the GW needs exercise to go along with it to help boost AMPK and get the increased effects from high AMPK (increased lipolysis, decreased storage of energy in adipose tissue, increased insulin sensitivity and increased autophagy). I suggest intermittent fasting and or ketogenic diets to go along with the GW.

IMO GW will just help a few percent, like drinking coffee. Macros and exercise will have a larger percentage effect on his body recomp than any specific drug. I've heard of the "afterburner" effect, that if you do a cardio workout that burns 400 calories, another 400 or so will be burned after just from the increased metabolic rate, for a total of 800 calories burned just by doing a workout that burns 400 calories. That's why cardio is so important.

Well he can't run because of a fake hip but he can definitely go for plenty of walks. Do you think there would be any adverse side effects?

its hard to say man but i'll give you the advice i would use if it were my dad... NO... I wouldn't have him on it... i would have a long talk with him about what he needed to do to start getting his health in line and how to correct whatever he is not doing...

Get him to pick up a decent road bike and start cycling with him. I wish I did more of this.

My dad has been incredibly stubborn about not needing exercise but my step mom got them both decent bikes and he actually is getting into it.
