This whole Atkins thing is OverExposed

What the hell, even subway? The guy has to die and then his diet gets the most exposure it has EVER had???

I thought this only happened to painters?

I believe it was on its way.....his death really has nothing to do with the exposure and success of it.

Hopefully it will cause a whole lot of fat bastards to lose some weight...then insurance rates drop...then my pay check goes up.

i like the fact that my friends who have never stepped foot in a gym in their lives, drink all night, and still think they are on the atkins diet.

fucking gay

and these are the people that say we are going to kill ourselves with the way we live!

I think it's nice that some of the low carb food is now at my grocery store so I don't have to order it (like la tortilla factory tortillas). But I agree that it's overexposed.

And when I'm out and see someone drinking a low carb beer with a plate of cheese fries I have to think that they don't get it.

What is the point to low carb beer anyway? Your body just runs off of the alohol, so anything you eat goes to storage. It seems as though the marketing portrays a different story. I love when they show people exercising and the say that it's for them...what a joke.

Agreed.......

But I have a gripe.....when I refeed, or cheat, I will order a diet soda......I catch som much crap for that. The way I look at it, I am savings from unneccessary calories....plus the sugar kills your teeth.

What is the point of drinking a low carb beer I mean really if your seriously working out you shouldn't be drinking at all. It just seems rather counter productive.
I agree about Atkins being way over exposed them and there net carbs don't get that at all. A carb is a carb is a carb... what is up with the net part?

LOL!

I don't compete in body building and i don't think 98% of the people on this site do.

I don't think a few low carb beers on the weekend will hurt to bad.

Those wraps aren't bad. Think I'll run and get one right now.

Will u pick me one up while your out?

Paypal or WU me the cash and I'll send you the half eaten chicken ranch. Allow a month for delivery, and when it doesn't show up by that time make sure to clear it through the mods before you call me a scammer.

Well I am cutting so I can't drink right now for me it is counter productive.
I am not a big drinker to begin with but I really used to love a glass of red wine with my dinner. Sunday is my cheat day sometimes I will have a glass then.

Whoa, this wrap is pretty tasty. Shit was expensive though. Fuckers.

From Zero are you on a Keto diet? If so tell me if it knocks you out of keto. I really don't believe the net carbs thing...

I hate Jared, it's a matter of prince a pull

Jared is a silly jew who loves eating TUBWAY 24/7 and no way he gets pussy like they portray him to in his commercials.

Sure it is over exposed, but I appreciate the fact that I know have a few more options for my protein fat meals when I am in a pinch. I usually prepare all my food in advance for the day, but if I need to grab something quick there is surely more options out there than before.

I'll take a Wendy's double combo 8 days a week.

My "all pudding" diet is anything but overexposed. I figure once it goes global I'll have more money than David Hasselhoff did in the early '70s.

Hell no, I'm not.

I just wanted something different for a change. I also bought a hot dog on the walk back to my building. :)

re: low carb beer. It's presumably good for the low carb dieters who are NOT on Atkins/Ketosis and must have a beer. If you are on Atkins, alcohol will kick you out of keto while it's in your system.

I'm on CKD.....it doesn't kick me out.

8 crabs aren't crap.....1 for the cheese...2-3 for the veggies....4-6 for the shell/wrap.

I also eat atkins bars....and they don't kick me out of ketosis.

Didnt see anyone post the answer to this yet, but you are supposed to subtract the dietary fiber from the carbs and that is your net carbs. Not a 100% on why you subtract them tho. I'll try and look it up.

Really I want to try that stuff but I am so skeptical maybe I will see what it does to me.

milwaukee's beast, you must be lightheaded all day. i tried knocking out carbs once and it suckedeth. i felt high

It has its days.....like today...I feel like that...no focus. But others I feel great....yesterday was good...great workout. I think the good days outnumber the bad though.

This diet just works so well for me......I think it is because it is "set"....meaning I know what I can and can't have. Whereas "cutting back" starts out good, but then it leads to, "I've done good today, so I'll have one cookie" and I end up having 6. There is a guy on EF, Xizor, that had great results on the diet.....got shredded and he started off with alot of localized BF.....it inspired me to give the diet another shot. I had great results the first time around. PLus I wanted to lean up before the cruise.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do after the cruise. I may go the high pro/mod carb-fat route.......carbs coming from MRP's, oatmeal, salads, and rice.

Well I'm sure that exactly answered your questions...thanks for listening.

I have to stay around 75 grams; any less and i'm miserable....any more and I'm out of ketosis.

My wife is also on it as well as countless other people I know. All use the bars and have these wraps.......all remain in ketosis.

Do you use r-ala?

It's funny....I come to EF and always research diet info and feel so unaware of some things.....but when it comes to the people around me, they consider me a diet guru.

I rotate my carbs depending on my workout plan for a particular day. Though my carbs are around 30g a day or less almost all summer.

Your body gets use to it......then when you do refeed you feel like utter crap.

I schedule my back day after my refeeds.....my most intense day.

If and when I come off of CKD, I plan on keeping my carbs around 100-150g but with r-ala supplementation.

I'm trying to put on weight right now so my carbs are up-- but low GI carbs (mostly oatmeal) and I'm eating 20-30% CHO depending on workouts.

When my carbs are low and I refeed I feel hung over. It's almost not a treat just because it makes me feel so icky.

It may have a lot of exposure, but as far as I'm concerned its a good thing.

People are waking up from the food pyramid delusions which is a good thing.

Also a lot easier to find low carb meals, in addition to somethings no longer being premium specialty items as raina mentioned. Both good things.

Fiber by the way you don't count as carbohydrates, because by definition your body can't utilize fiber. You eat it and it just passes through you.

I just had some of the 0 effect carb stuff taste pretty dam good to be low varb him we will see if it affects me keto.
