That's shitty news man, whats the next procedure for him then?

but diabetes is an epidemic in this country.. a dude the other day when i was out started getting dizzy who was a diabetic and he ordered french fries to get his blood sugar up. my question is why would you even eat french fries to begin with if you are overweight and a diabetic? people need to get their diets in check, its an unnecessary problem
i didn't say a damn thing to him, not like he would listen to me anyway.. people are stubborn and are set in their ways.. tell someone to change up their lifestyle and they usually run away. the few that do listen i applaud for changing their lives, i was one of those people who LISTENED about 8 years ago whe i went through a year of poor habits.. drinking, eating crap, not exercising. one dude who was built like a freight train took me aside one day and told me straight up to do A, B, and C. i listened and the rest is history

Shitty spot... My pops had open heart surgery at 36 and had 2 valves replaced, esphogus reconstructive surgery at 47 and is now to have thought to have cancer spread to his lymph nodes... U know what he swears it was to me, Steroids, growth and andro he says.... i tell him probably has nothing to do with the 12 pack and half a bottle of crown he was drinking, but the steroids did help the cause, especially with his cancer, but we will honestly never know.... My grandfather just had a similiar procedure and neither are smokers... Both are drinkers....
Best thing you can do bro is talk about.... Let people know what you feel and listen.... At first i thought you said your pops got staph from tren... I was thinking did he stir his tren homebrew with a rusty pole or what??? lol, jk... that be tetanus....

I Hope thing work out ok.. my highest reading was over 500 when the Dr checked it, i even bought another fridge,the more i ate the more i lost! I thought i had cancer.And Thirsty i couldn;t go 15min with out my mouth going dry.
I bet he lost alot of weight with those readings ,i did.

^^^ diabtes is rampant in my family and i have a lot of the symptoms you always describe RADAR. i really think that if i am not careful and very viligant I'm gonna get it later on in life thats why i listen closely to your posts and am taking every precaution. knock on wood my glucose is in the 90's every time i test.
to the OP if your dad has it then you are likely to get it too unless you do as radar says and monitor yourself very closely and get off the shitty habits that you have told me about through PM's.. including drinking alcohol. one bad habit will lead to another my friend. need to get things corrected while you are young. usually parents habits are inherited by the kids through watching them.

thanks everybody..yea in my family on both sides,have diabetics,dad side bad heart problems so its always a fear in the back of my mind...hey radar he really hasnt lost any weight i was surprised that he didnt but then again,his diet isnt the best..hes a welder that works offshore so they have anything you want to eat on those rigs..idk to much about insulin but his regular doc..she was a NP and she gave him insulin told him to take 30ius at one time once a day,they icu doctor said that was stupid,he didnt need that much,and you should take smaller doses at a time
It really is the western civilization diet that is causing diabetes...fast food, sugar loaded drinks and foods, processed foods, it is all linked together. If you haven't already, watch the movie "Forks Over Knives", it was an eye opener for me, and may be just what your dad needs...your dad can control and possibly reverse effects of diabetes through proper nutrition. Another movie to watch is Food Inc.

He probably had the insulin pen where you dial the amount, Yeah that amount is kinna high,since he was already on insulin he shouldn't loose weight, i lost mine before i was diagnosed, My doc wants me to increase mine to 25ius a day, not gonna do it as i have already put on 40lbs. Plus the more you add you will need to check in the swelling in the feet and lower legs.

Exactly,..there was so MUCH swelling ion my dad man,scary thing to see a loved one,on the death bed with nothing but prayers to see him threw..yea your right he has the pens where you dial the amount,he hasn't had diabetes long maybe a year ,was on a pill before the pen
quick update:idk yall beliefs but Praise god that he is the god that gives life..my dad is still kicking it!
2 nights ago the icu doctor said he had a 20%chance of making it threw the night,(Im not trying to get to bibical here,i know its a aas fourm not bible fourm) but i told that docotr hes not my dads doctor,Jesus is and my dad will pull threw..well here we are 2 days later and hes alive and doing WELL..lets backtrack for a min..when they told us that,that was the same night they put dad on a ventalation machine to breath for him,(he was breathing on his own but was hard on him,form all the swelling) well when they put the tube down his throat he puked,some of that stomach acid got into his lungs and they said it really messed his lungs up,damaged..then his bp dropped,his oxygen dropped to low 80's,then the next day his kidneys went out(this is a reaosn he was so bloated,all the fluid they were putting in,wasnt coming out)well put him on dialyis,cleaned his blood..well guess what?that helped a alot,his oxygen is back to 100,his bp is normal,his kidney functions are coming back,today they are hoping to be able to take him off the machine to let him breath on his own..he has pockets on his spine but there not dirctly on the spinal cord,were hoping that is the source of the staff infection ..one postive thing all the damage,is not peremanet,it can be healed threw time the doctor said..but i know if it wasnt for god,prayers,he would be dead becuase it truly is a mircale

I changed my life in this fashion. One day i just woke up and thought, i'm sick of being a fat, lazy, no good worthless piece of shit.
Now, i'm killing it! A few simple changes and a bit of effort and bobs your uncle.
But you are right. Peoples diets are an extreme problem, but as you said, an extremely unnecessary problem.
But saying that steve, why were you somewhere where you can get french fries. . .sounds scarily like mcdonalds. Hope it was your cheat day lol
I'm sorry this is happening I know its got to be tough on everyone around you. Just hang in there brother, and stay strong for your Dad and family. Tell him to keep fighting and he will definitely be in our prayers.
