This is starting to irritate me

Everytime i talk to somebody, no matter who it is, or where i meet them. It can be my family, strangers or friends. And we start talking about working out, and i say that i'm a bodybuilder, they automatically say "All those big muscles are ugly"....ok, your point being? Does it look like i think so? and why should i give a dime what you think? and why do everybody feel the need to tell me this. Do they really think that i train as hard and as dedicated as i do, in a sport thats not exactly glamorous, or popular for that matter, because i think big muscles are grose?

I mean, the first thousand times you hear this you kinda blow it off, saying some stupid shit like "yeah, well those guys use alot of drugs" or "each to his own". But after a while it starts to annoy me. Especially since its the same people saying the same line over and over. Imagine you went up to everybody that have kids, and said "I hate kids". You think that would generate reactions? Or if you walked up to fat people saying "To much fat is hideous". Doesnt seem smart does it? So what makes telling bodybuilders how grose big muscles is, any different? I'm just asking.

Maybe it's the pink tutu you wear...Try the red one and see if you get the same response.

Honestly, I have NO idea why ANYONE would say such things to you. Makes NO SENSE!

Perhaps it's time to tell them that they look like 50 pounds of shit stuffed in a 5 lb. bag.

MY GUESS: THEY ARE JEALOUS OF YOU!!

I recommend this approach to the haters

:FRlol:

I went out at the weekend and all I got was god your big, god your getting huge, I'm beginning to feel scared of you. A girl said that !! But she is 30 and married and doing what alot of people do when they get married, nothing.

The only reason is because they look normal, and dont care about training, I feel at this moment awesome, I like the way I am beginning to look and I like the direction I am going in, so it doesnt mean anything to me. If anything it makes me want to gain more.

I see it as a proof that I am making progress.

Hows your dieting going Mr Muscle and whats your split like at the moment?

My cousin gf once told me "Jeff stop pumping weight, us women dislike big muscles"

My reply "Look if you talk for the whole of women, I prefer to turn gay"

she never mentionned anything after that

Looks pretty good, I think I share similar diet ratios to yourself in that I need alot of carbs, I think when I finally get round to cutting that I will be able to do it and still eat moderate levels of carbs my metabolism is so damn fast.

What are your goals in terms of losing fat?

Your website looks good, cool info, I'm interested to see how it goes.

got told by a friend that 'all he wants to do is tone up and not get as big in the chest and upper body as me......not that its a bad thing, but i dont think i could ever get like that and i dont wanna'

but when i cut i get small anyway :(

I hear ya my family tells me i look fat. They equate more muscle mass as getting fatter.

especially if you have bigger thigh's and your jeans get tight round the legs:(

f-ing jeans:mad:

i am getting a bit more porky, but im bulking its to be expected :D

I like how people will say "I'd like to have <your favorite body part>, but just not as big as < so and so> but not those big <other favorite body part>" and in the mean time they just sit on their ass and pound beers.

MrM, you are big for Europe. Come to the States and you won't hear any of that. I'm larger than you and while in Europe everybody commented on my size because the trim look is in predominance. I could barely find a jacket in a good German store to fit me since their sizes didn't really go that high

all i've been told is i look healthier... which is cool and all, but i was healthy when i was skinny too.

i've had jaws drop when i tell them how much i weigh.

good luck

dude you need to cut more carbs then that. your metabolism is not fast enough to burn that many calories. i also think that you over train for a natural bb, hell i dont even lift 6 days a wk when on,. but continue with the diet, hell you look just as good as that dork decem and he juices.

I am super muscular for a woman (205 pounds) and i hear comments from people bascially constantly. Since march when i come to amerika i have asked maybe 50 times (im not exagerating!) if i am a "lady wrestler".

A LONG time ago i decided that this is how i want my body to look. Dont care at all about the opinion of others on the subject of my body. Even my sisters tried to make me stop getting bigger years ago as they thought i was crazy.

As for ladies.....many of them think i am frightfully too huge now. I did get more seks i think when i was smaller, but i still do well enough to keep myself satisfied.

everybody tells me to cut the carbs more. but havent you read what my progress says, i AM loosing weight, and actually increasing my strenght. check out my avatar, shit is happening. I dont have to cut more carbs untill i have maxed out on cardio and thats not for a long time yet. And as to the trainin, i have been training evry day since i was 8, my father made me do track, every day. So my body has a high toleranse for heavy training.

Yep.....translation: "I want to look like you, but not work to get there"....they throw the "just not as big" part out of jealousy. Most people seem to compliment you, buit always have to point out something they don't like as well. That is great is you're asking for the constructive criticism.

Saw your cut down progress, weight etc on your site.

Small reccomendation - drop 75 grams of carbs from the diet - you went 12 days w/o dropping any weight. that will give you about 3/4 of a pound loss per week.

yeah i will, after i have gone to max cardio, wich is 5 days a week, 45 minutes per session. when that isnt working anymore, i will drop another 75g of carbs.

LOL - you know that dropping just those carbs will save you 300 cal on the treadmill.

No difference in calories "burned" off vs. calories not eaten.....cardio will increase cortisol as well.

Mr. Muscle, I agree with some of the above posts in that a large part of the problem is where you live. I get a lot of compliments on my physique, as well as a lot of respect. I think for most people, even if they don't want to be my size, they still admire all the work and dedication it took me to get the way I am. I had a conversation with a little guy at the pool yesterday that was just starting out lifting weights and although he said he didn't want to be my size (he didn't say it offensively), he asked me all sorts of questions about supplements and training and it was very flattering.

Of course, there are always a few people who won't like it, but they generally keep their porkin' mouths shut. :D
