so microsoft fucked up all the Halo 3 games. well I go to take it back and guess what? NO REFUNDS. You have to send it in. And they didn't even know where. told me to go to xbox.com and find directions there.

For real now... I thought I would take the defected game back and get a refund on my charge card. Or at the very least a store credit.

HELL NO!

They don't give you shit but a goodbye wave and instructions to go to xbox.com and see what help is available there. You walk right back out the door with the game you just brought in.
 
So MS fucked up... fine.

But you would think since I purchased it from Blockbuster they would at least REFUND the fucking money and send it all back. But NOOOOO!!!! They send you out the door with the game you bring back telling you that it is now between you and MS.

Not only that, but there were still games on the display being sold. WTF? They KNOW they were bad. Yet still selling them with no warning or shit on them. That's fucked up. At least pull the damn games and send them back.

This is on my AmEx card. You better believe I am doing a chargeback. Fuck this shit. And I am still going to send the game in anyway.
 
Sorry, but your first mistake was buying it from blockbuster.
They are a bunch of pricks IMO.

Stores are not as nice when it comes to opened software. The scratched disk is a known issue and they should at least swap out disks.

Bestbuy has always been real good about returns/exchanges for me. I'd buy from a different place next time if I were you.

Not only were they not refunding your credit card, but they were not even allowing you to exchange it for a new one or even issue store credit.

Poor customer service.

apparently the limited and collectors edition had a faulty plastic center piece which holds the cd in place. Thus the cd moves around while being shipped, handled, opened, etc. This scratches the cd.

I believe MS is replacing the cd for free, but who wants to go thru that mess? The store should stand behind their products.
 
how can the store replace them on the spot? Unless you tell them that you just want a regular edition and they owe you the difference. They can't give you another "special edition" cause that one's probably fucked too and they're in the process of shipping them back. But you should ABSOLUTELY be able to exchange the disk for a regular version.
