...was arrested two weeks ago here in Cali. From Kawait, he's been here for six months getting plastic surgery to improve the appearance of facial burn scars he sustained during Desert Storm. He worked at an oil refinery that was hit by Iraqi jets and was sprayed with burning oil from head to toe. Because he was wearing clothing, only his face and hands were badly burned.

Anyway, his family is very well off, even by our standards, and he obtained a ten year visa to the US so that he could start plastic surgery treatment.

Two weeks ago, a California Highway Patrol stopped Abdhul and a friend, an illeagal alien from Lebanon. The CHP told Abdhul that all visas from arab countries have been suspended and both he and his friend were arrested. They HOG TIED him and put him on a plane somewhere. His picture was taken, he was finger printed, blood was taken, and they processed him like a criminal; bend over and cough routine, etc.

He's been there for two weeks and just got out a few days ago. The Ambassador (sp?) to Kuwait here in the states was contacted and managed to get him released, but he's planning on being on a plane out of here as soon as he recovers from his final operation in another two weeks.

I haven't heard anything about this in the media, yet I'm certain they know what's going on. Where are all the liberals on this one?

but i guess some would prefer this happnening to innocents over any potential threat right i guess because he was on a visa even though he is from a friendly country didnt matter a shit to these people. they COULD have acted with some kind of civility but they chose to hog tie him and subject him to medical tests, basically humiliate him then release him without an apology

if they are investigating VISA's they could have done this sooo much better. whats worse is there are many that would actually support this kind of behaviour

He must have been terrified. In his country, torture is still used to "extract the truth." He still doesn't know where the plane landed, but he was in the air for what he thinks was at least 10 hours before they arrived at their final destination, which I forgot to mention was basically an Arab processing facility.

I don't see how we can protect our families here on our soil any other way, as sad as the whole thing is.
