My Crystal light powder drink mix says that it has 0 carbs. But yet the ingredients do say that it contains Maltodextrin! So what does this mean? That the makers are lying about this containing 0 carbs?

How can somehting have Maltodextrin but have 0 carbs?

Nutritional labels are made by the people in the marketing department. They can claim "0 carbs" if PER SERVING it has less than .5g's (I think) of carbs. To make it label as 0 carb, they simply shrink the serving size until they like what the label says. Read some of the "trans-fat free margarine" tubs, most of them list partially-hydrogenated oil, which is a trans-fat.

well, thats what i said, it was less than 1g, so i dont think this is a terrible problem if you're getting less than 1g of carbs.

I dont know guys. I think I trust them fuckers now. I mean..the stuff is damn sweet! and it does get really sticky just like a sugar drink. And why add ONLY less than 1gram of Malto for? its got to be that it has sufficient amount of Malto. But the fuckers don't count it as a carb.
