30,000. Isn't that the number of members this site has? With that number of people, you're looking at a bunch of different personalities, skill, experience, and maturity levels. You're going to get repetitive questions, bad questions, silly questions, people acting silly, people getting into conflicts, people who either do not know about the search engine, don't have the wit to use the search engine, or who are simply too lazy to use the search engine. Hell, some probably don't know what a search engine is. This goes with the territory when you're host to the biggest online community for this "culture" in the entire world. You also have alot of smart people here who contribute a tremendous amount of their time and energy as well as their knowledge for the cause of helping others. Those helpful folks should be the focus of your attention. Those are the ones you need to think about when assessing the value of this board and the quality of it's content. You should also remember that this board is ran by a world class group of mods. That in itself makes this place worth coming to. Just ignore those things and the people you don't like. Pay them no mind. Instead, direct your attention and your input where you feel it's most appropriate. Don't let the non-sense bother you.
Remember as well, the mods are here to enforce the rules, not act as censors. I'm sure they hate the "can I drink winny" threads as much as anybody. It's just not there job to suppress these questions just because they may be stupid, inappropriate, silly, or whatever. Provided no rules are broken, people are pretty much free to ask whatever. Remember that in some of these cases the people asking s of those dumb questions really don't know the answer and have no idea how to get the answers from the search engine. Maybe a search engine tutorial should be sent to all members.
