Thinking about cutting my hair...

It's very long and I hate to see it go, but I have a niece who will have to have her hair cut really short.

I was thinking about cutting my hair as well so that she doesn't feel so bad. She is a young girl going through that God-awful awkward stage.

I am looking fine, but feel like this is my last chance at long hair for a woman my age. After a certain age I feel that all women should have shorter hair.

I've had short hair (really really up around the ears short) twice before and though it flatters me, it took like f-o-r-e-v-e-r to grow it back.

What do you guys think. I am soooooo on the fence about this. I mean, my niece will be beautiful no matter what the length of her hair. She is such a lovely child, but me, I feel almost like I need my long hair - I mean it is part of a woman's crowning glory.

I look good with short hair. I mean really cute because I am not big but I have such beautiful hair. But I think it will make my niece feel better if I get mine cut the same time as her. She will have to have hers cut like Mia Farrow short...

I just don't want to give up my hair.

Really guys, some of you find women with short hair attractive, don't you?

one of the hottest women that Ive ever been with had very short almost "punk" hair...if you have the face for it, dont worry...but long hair is beautiful and hard to come by as you stated...if you are "supporting" your niece, thats another issue....and a great gesture by you....

What the hell is this? Did i miss something? I don't see the logic in this. After a certain age are all men supposed to have long hair? That's why I'm scared to marry someone. Because she'll reach a certain age, chop her hair off, gain some lbs and look like a chubby man. 2/3's of my friends moms when we were kids all looked the same. Same haircuts, clothes, everything. What in the hell!?!?

I have an excellent body and a very pretty face one that lends itself well to short hair and though I am surrounded by little kids all day long I hardly dress like a mom. My hair is very long and curly and dark. I have very dark eyes and a pretty smile.

I had a talk w/my niece about it and she is really not happy about cutting her hair short. I told her that her mom was also thinking about getting her hair cut. My sister really could use a hair cut, though. She is in her 30's and though her hair is nice and long she doesn't bother to style it so it actually makes her look older.

I asked a lot of people in the gym tonite and they all said the same, "DON'T DO IT!"

But then they heard about my niece and thought it was the right thing to do.

I will confess, it is very difficult for a woman to give up her beauty as time steals it from her. I am secure with my age and station in life so I honestly don't know why this is so hard.

It is just so long and beautiful. I know this will sound silly, but I am afraid that if I cut it, it will not grow back.

it probably won't.....it seems women hit a certain age, and just have to cut their hair and never grow it back again......

i don't know how old you are though.....

but anyway, you might look great with short hair, but 99.999999% of the time, a woman looks better with longer hair......IMHO

I loved having short hair. I really wonder why I've grown it out. And my bf and pretty much every male who's ever seen pics of me with short hair says it looks at least as good if not better short.

I say go for it-- it's a nice change and it's also much less work!!

If you have the face, then short hair.

I prefer short hair over long hair if the face is right 90% of the time.
