Thinking aboug getting into tanning

What are the benefits of tanning. All my bodybuilding friends say aside from making your muscles look better it makes you overall feel and look better

Leads to skin cancer.

Increases total number of free radicals, thus increasing odds of other types of cancer.

Gives you a nice "tooled leather" look when you get older.

Destroys the elasticity in your skin, thus giving you wrinkles.

you sold me! i can't wait to start!

Tanning,

that is one of those things I've always wondered about, whether the benefits are worth the risks.

I mean people who tan do look really good, but then people talk about the risk of skin cancer and how you'll look crappy when you are older.

hmmm... and it seems like the people who do get real leathery skin are the extremes, i only wish i could know what happens to the people who just do it a little bit, just to look a little gold.

It's funny normally you think of tanning ruining the skins when you get older, I know there they're older lady who work at walmart. She has white hair and looks like she maybe 55 or so. She has few wrinkles and a really deep tan. She looks healthy but it looks a little odd because she has really anglo features and blue eyes but she's almost as dark as me.
