Can you guys believe what type of evolution the subject of science has undergone in the past 2000 years?
We've gone from simple concepts like magnifying glasses to telescopes floating through space (SPACE!) taking pictures of microbes that are living under a rock a billion miles away.
We've gone from realizing that the decomposing bodies in The Nile produced a base (solution) that was useful for cleaning clothes to Dupont inventing teflon and pretty much ending the ability for chemicals to stain most surfaces..
We've gone from using menthol to clear sinuses to coming up with vaccines for viruses that once killed millions of people.
We've gone from figuring out the seasons to plant in order to yield the best crops to genetically altering strands of fruits and vegetables in order to make them grow during the seasons we find most convenient.
We've gone from branding up lacerations in order to prevent someone from bleeding out to transplating corneas, lungs, hearts and hands.
Guys, just think about the advances that have happened and about what might come to be in the future.. its incomprehensible.. its crazy.
