They call it stormy Monday...

Wednesday's worse, and Thursday's oh so sad.

I could go for the rest of my life without ever hearing that song again, and it would be too soon. It's such a Blues Jam staple.

yeah, we should here more Pinball Wizard, that was a great song.

You can sing "Pinball Wizard" to the tune of "Folsom Prison Blues". Works the other way 'round too. It's always good for a laugh.

There's a list of songs that should be banned from every Blues Jam in the country:

Mustang Sally
Stormy Monday
Cold Shot
Pride and Joy
Clapton's version of "Crossroads"

They've been done to death.

"don't know why
there's no sun above
stormy weather...."

The episode of "Sanford & Son" with Lena Horne was a classic.

yeh, i do recall that one.

in addition to her unique, lovely voice, lena horne strikes me as one of the most attractive singers around....she has "matured" very gracefully.

how well will jay-lo or beyoncee (sp?) look or sound 30 or 40 years from now?

The beauty of this song, as well as some of the other blues songs is that they can be sung (or played) in some many different ways, all which can be great. Thus, I dont' agree that they are worn, everytime I find an artist that I was unfamiliar with, its interesting to see their takes on this and other classics.
