There is life outside the so-called super clubs in New York

Sound Factory and Exit are badass there's no doubt about it. But I have to agree that there are equally kickass (albeit smaller) places in other parts of the world. Eastern Europe has some real hidden gems. Solid DJ's spinning badass European & American tracks, aweome lighting and lasers, bumping bass, a veritable smorgasbord of mind-altering substances (if that's what you're into), and the HUGE differnce that I noticed is that it is very easy to pick up hot Eurotrash and get laid. Everything's dirt cheap to boot... you can go balls out and spend under $50.

I am with the smaller venue crowd.

All you need is a fun crowd and a good dj (big up to DJ Evil D at the 5 Spot on Fridays! his set is aaaaalways live and he is super nice)- the huge clubs are all about people who don't dance and just want to be seen.

I am all about the dancing. At the end of the night I want to be laughing, sweaty and have a sore booty from all the shakin I did. I want a crowd that can move AND look pretty dammit!

You could easily goto a differant smaller venue every weekend for a year. Places are constantly opening, and being taken over by new management only to be re-opened under a new name.
