Theory On HCG

I´ve been hearing some different theories about the use of hcg, so I just wanted to get somebody to clear this up for me. What I´ve been hearing is that a lot of people tend to use hcg in their cycle at doses of like 500ui/day. From what I can gather the theory behind a lower dosage like this is to keep test levels from spiking to high. Now, I can understand this if ur using the hcg at the end of a cycle before you start clomid, but what difference would it make if you used larger amounts while in the middle of a cycle if ur test levels are gonna be elevated already? I would tend to think that if u used higher doses of hcg during a cycle, it would most likely increase your gains. If someone could clear this up for me I´d appreciate it, or maybe Im just comlpletely missing something here.

Its not to stop the test spike

its to prevent from desensitizing your self to LH

I would think so too. Just don't overuse it.
