We took our daughter to her first horseshow today. On the way to the stable I could sense that she was both nervous and excited about competing for the first time. She was entered in 5 events and took 2 first place trophies, 1 third place and 2 fourth place ribbons. I was beaming with pride when they called her name out each time. But the look on her face, her sense of accomplishment, the pride she took in herself, that was fucking priceless! I've been high from that all night.
