well first of all, i shouldn't have gone with a trendy haircut... the mullet, or "hockey hair" as we lovingly call it, is much more practical for insulation than my trendy male pattern baldness 'do... anyway, so before i set out to go to school on my sled, i go down to the root cellar and bring up some treated meat that i store there for the winter. unfortunately, i hadn't kept careful track and i had run out completely! so there i was with eight angry dogs (especially hurley, named after elizabeth because she got knocked up by another dog who we had thought was a bitch but wasn't. anyway, that's another story). anyway, i set out with my grumpy huskies, when all of a sudden we were hit by an avalanche.. long story short, we spent two days digging our way out, and we managed to survive on berries from a nearby bush and snow. i wasn't much help since it's hard to walk on soft snow with one club foot that has a wheel attached to the end. anyway, it took the dogs gnawing at my club/wheel foot and spattering my blood on the snow for rescue workers to find us. luckily they brought meat for the dogs and i managed to save my wheel. canada is such rugged living.. it's tough..
