"The Shield" is the BEST cop show ever....

It quite simply blows away "Nypd Blue", "The Wire", "Law and Order" etc away....there really is nothing on TV that can compare to it....Awesome show.

I agree. I think that because FX has allowed the language on their network, it has given The Shield a bit of authenticity that is lacking in the other cop shows. The excessive violence, which I love by the way, is also a plus, and having a lovable charactor like Vic Mackey to head it all up will score you a hit everytime. Great show. Cant wait until January to get it started again.

So is series 5 planned for January then? In the UK we are up to series 4 at the moment.
