LOL, like I have the desire or motivation to call or write my congressman and moan that dozens of snake oil peddling sites will go under because of this.

Code, honestly, there are alot of good supplements I use, and both my grandparents use various herbal supplements to fight heart disease and other ailments. If you dont want to call, dont call. No need to discuss it further.

I'm aware that there are legitimate supplements.
But I'm also aware that most simply give false hope to people who are foregoing legitimate treatments because they feel these supplements will work faster/cheaper.

FDA involvement in this would be very very nice. I have already e-mailed my representatives and asked that the bill be revised to give the FDA some involvement in the industry.

Right on! We need the gov't meddling as if they know what they are talking about! Most of them wouldn't know a supplement from a prescription or brown sugar from processed.

Amazing how we let them run our lives.

There is a hell of a lot of snake oil being sold by the pharmaceutical industry e.g. compromised SSRI's (compromised in that they don't target dopamine for fear of abuse potential)... some prominent scientists question whether the pharma industry creates drugs for cure of for treating symptoms (more profitable). The codex has nothing to do with pharma safeguarding your supplement consumption.

There are many supplements that work/help many: vitamin C, b-complex, inositol, echnacea, ginkgo, SJW, ALA, milk thistle, glucosamine.....

This codex just takes us further into global fascism and lies.
