The post-vacation fallout

things were so good before taking two weeks off, now i hate
everything.
i'll stick to three day weekends from now on.

the bargaining unit employees of my office tried to get the "law enforcement" retirement plan about 15 years ago, filed a grievance, went to arbitration, but the union president abruptly deceided "it's not worth negociating".

guess who the next supervisor was?

I'm afraid to take a vacation because of how how fucked up everything will be when I return. I end up just taking the vacation pay every year when my anniversary rolls around.

you can roll it into the next pay period were i work.
after so many built up hours over the years (280 i think) you have to take it.
a kid younger than me has that many built up already, so he'll take the month of december off this year, and still have 240 vac hours lol

Our vacation hours expire after one year, but you can get the three weeks extra pay instead.

Every time I do it, they act like I'm abusing the system, but it would cost them more if I actually took the weeks off.
