I didn't see the highlight, but read in the paper what Bertuzzi did. Fucking sick. Not only the punch, but then jumping on the guy and slamming his head into the ice. He says "He didn't mean to hurt him". Bullshit, what do you mean to do a person when you slam their head into the ground.

The Canucks will fall apart slowly.

I hope that the Geriatric's club [read: Wings] make an early exit, though I'm sure they'll put up a fight.

I'll take the Flyers. Like I do every season.

I supported the Avs since they were the Nordiques. A lot of undeveloped talent was on that squad. They picked up Barnaby too.

The Wings old and young are pretty balanced...they have a lot of all star young kids....ie. Zetterberg, Daytsuk(sp?).....you'd think people would start to realize that the playoff is not about the faster/younger team. It is about experience and emotion. The injuries that these guys play with are just short of amaxing, IMO.

About Bertuzzi.....the punch was a disgrace...but as far as slamming his head into the ice, it was not like the guy was down and he then hit him....he hit Moore, and they both fell together and Bertuzzi rode his head into the the ice....I don't believe his intentions were to cause that much damage. he did inted to hurt him...no doubt...I have never seen a hockey fight where the players are just playing around. After saying all of that....I think there should be a new rule....if you intentionally hurt someone your suspension should equal the same length of time it takes for the victim to return to the ice.

I didn't get to see the clip so I shouldn't speculate. Stars and Stripes picture shows Moore on the ice being treated by a trainer. The caption says that he was punched and Bertuzzi slammed his head into the ice.

I TMOed my tv last week so I probably will never see the highlight unless I catch an episode of NHL 2Nite when I get home.

The Wings are a good team undeniably. A large portion of that team will be retired in a few years.
