these guys may be turkeys, but it would be interesting none the less to see the results of the study. I for one turned off the article when it mentioned TKD.



ninja's are one thing, but TKD, no way in my book. but then again, it comes down to preference, experience and belief.

I say to these 'experts' that as soon as you let yourself be deemed "The best" you have already lost the edge that made you good. I also know great fighters that are not known beyond the doorman scene.

Well , I just have to write off Rickson as a personm , hes OBVIOUSLY full of bunk , one way6 or the other , and thats too bad because it makes him unreliable asa source DESPITE his obvious skill level . But in the end you just cant Trust the guy .

See , Fill me in on your thinking here , would you ? have you ever been around any of the top level TKD ppl ? I know theyre few and far between , but Ive seen some Tough SOBs that do it ! Even though the VAST Majority are Tag players , Ill grant you , The fact is that at they Do get KOs in many of their Matches and the top-level guys COULD put to bed pretty much anyone that didnt know what they were doing . They stand Toe To Toe and run the Risk of being put to Sleep and worse at SOME point . Ive seen Broken bones , Internal Injuries and worse at TKD tourneys .

What do Ninjas do ? Sneak up behind each other ? I dont see them standing Toe To Toe in many FC Matchups ever , is all Im saying .

well that and if you SAY the word "ninja" In Japan ppl pretty much laugh at you outright unless youre referring to some Anime film . Its made up Bullshit . Always has been . on par with the Easter Bunny over there .

I just dont like the art. As for bass ass mofo's, it is just those people that make the art great, not the art making them great.

It is in a person to be crazed and sociopathic, and I know people who have no formal MA training that are just plain insane, and they would make the art (whatever one) seem valuable when it may not be because of their ability to go that extra distance in the entire holistic spectrum.

The tool is the mind, the art just gives direction. So bass ass mofo's are the cause of the pain, not the art. They just found a waqy to express themselves through it. IMO.

Oh, and by placing ninjutsu seemingly above TKD, it is only because my praise for TKD is very very low. But thats just my interpretation of events, and from my own experience with TKD exponents, while I was training Kempo.

I mean Ive SEEN the schools full of "Final Fu" canidates and Ie seen Schools where NO ONE gets a Break and the Attrition Rate is 75% Now , theyre Usu Independant branches (not ATA/ITF/WTF) , but hey they ARE out there ...
