The myth: Weed makes you lazy

Slightly off-topic question, but does anyone feel guilty about supporting the drug trade industry, even with a drug as mild as weed?

Not at all. Everything I purcashe is produced locally and some of it legally (in california you can grow legally for medicinal purposes).

I didn't say that. Often times mundane chores like Laundry or cleaning are more fun after smoking some weed.

If I used ice cream as my positive reinforcement for chores, would that mean that ice cream made me lazy since I comitted to get the work done first?

Its been proven that people do some things better while under the influence of marijuana. Do you listen to any popular music? A fan of certain types of art?

Lenny Kravitz is a good example, he admits he needs a joint or to before going to work in the studio to get his creative juices going.

There is an exception to every rule. But pot generally does make you lazy. The words pothead and stoners are not used because they sound pretty.

I hang out with a lot of smokers and it generally does not make any of them lazy. They are all college educated, successful professionals.

people need excuses to explain things. weed makes you lazy if you allow it to. smoking was such an everyday thing, like the gym, that it just allowed me to do tons of shit without anxiety. i hope they can synthesize thc into a pill for anxiety riddled people like myself. its a miracle drug for that alone.

Sure seemed to make me lazy after years of daily use. Either that or I was just lazy to begin with. Now since I quit about 3-4 years ago, I am just a little less lazy
