the limit?

How much muscle mass you can hold with you natural born hormones, leverage attachements, muscle bellies, etc. (Drugs of course change this).

And you never really know when you have reached it. As gains slow down you know you are closer.

I dont believe anyone has truely reached 100% of their genetic potential,in regards to strength/building muscle unless they did everything right from birth.Even the very biggest powerlifters/bodybuilders still make progress, although it has slowed to a snails pace,it is still progress.I think it is more a case of how much you can achieve before the body starts to naturally decline due to age.The only way you can truely find your potential is to bust your ass for 10-15years whilst eating enough food to grow and see where you end up after all that.

I am going to be 35, suffered through quite a few injuries over the years......Goddamn, I will NEVER accept that I have reached my genetic limits or that I am on a decline due to age.....EVER!!!! Thats a freckin' poor ass excuse in my opinion.

In regards to my comment about decline due to age I wasnt talking about 35-40year olds, but more like 60-70+year olds.I am all for busting ass and overcoming limitations but at a certain point the body will begin to go downhill.By continuing to train you will drastically slow this process but you will still face limitations at some point.

Even if you've trained at a theoretical optimum, you've then got to factor in muscle maturity. What you've been carrying for X number of years fills out and becomes the base for even further gain. It's a much better foundation than the newbie muscle alot of you guys are still carrying. As soon as we defeat the aging process I'll be able to improve until I'm dead.

There is no limit, that is the truth. Be Zen, and train everyday as if there is no limit. Harness the power of the human mind and body and train, as if everyday was one more step in the process of reaching perfection, which of course, cannot be reached, thus, one must always train. Whatever you do, Zen Philosophy of Life is always a good way to seek your personal best.
Remember that even little progress is still progress and that patience is a virtue.
