I don't know if your talking about a different Henry Rollins, but he was NEVER a skinhead. He did shave his head back in the day, but he is 100% against racism in all forms. He is a big fan of a lot of black musicians. He has always said that he hate's racism. I have met him before and he is an extremely cool guy. He is very smart, and well spoken. He talks about how he dislikes the KKK all the time. The bassist in his band is black. Where did you get this information???

That's very strange and interesting. I wouldn't be totally surprised if it was true because he does have a lot of hate inside of him, but it seems directed to all of the bad things in society. So have you ever seen him do a talking show or was this just on TV? I am very curious about this, because I saw him a few monthes back do a talking show, and I have listened to just about all of his spoken word material and I have read all of his books and he is hellbent on correcting the wrongs of society such as racism, homophobia, etc. This is very interesting. I cant give you any printed evidence on it but im sure it is around. Im 32 years old and started lifting since I was 17--SO this was around 1987--My buddy and I started lifting together and one day were watching Tv, when there was a reporter reporting on skin heads and shit like that. One of the guys they talked to was Henry Rollins. Who was a mean fucker. He was down in a basement talking about all the fights he has been into and that he was a skin head but now thinks its bullshit(1987)---I remember my buddy saying look at the size of that fucker---I wouldnt want to fuck with him. Then many years later my same friend seeing the rollins band play and say to me, do you remember when we seen him on TV------He was a small inspiration when I was 17-----Alot of what he talks about is from his real life. I do take back in my first post how I said that once a skin head always a skin head...I really dont believe that and I dont believe that Rollins has a hidden agenda. He is a very smart guy.
I am glad you cleared that one up... cause that dude hates skinheads... with a passion. Read "Get In the Van" or better yet.. look for it on CD... he talks about how bummed he would get when skinheads would show up at a Black Flag show.
I saw a show on Skinheads around the same time.... but there was no Rollins.. there were some idiots from Europe... but no Henry Rollins.
