The Heinz connection...

Look at the label of a jar of Heinz sandwich slice pickles.

Yep...."Made in Mexico". Check some of your Heinz product labels.

Sen. John Kerry keeps talking about U.S. corporations leaving this country and setting up shop in foreign countries, taking thousands of jobs with them. He is right, because that has happened.

However, he is trying to blame it on George W. Bush. As far as I know, Bush has not moved one factory out of this country, because he not the owner of large factory.

That cannot be said about Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Kerry's own 32 factories in Europe and 18 in Asia and the Pacific. In addition, their company, the Heinz Company, leases four factories in Europe and four in Asia.

They own 27 factories in North America, some of which are in Mexico and the Caribbean. 80% of Heinz products are made overseas. I wonder how many hundreds of American workers lost their jobs when these plants relocated in foreign countries.

I also wonder if the workers in Mexico and Asia are paid the same wages and benefits as workers in the United States. Of course they're not.

However, Kerry demands that other companies that relocate should pay the same benefits they did in the U.S. Why does he not demand this of the Heinz Company, since he is married to the owner?

If Kerry is elected, will he and his wife close all those foreign factories and bring all those jobs back to America? Of course they won't. They're making millions off that cheap labor.

hmmm, I thought he was a waffling no scruples scumbag before this, but hey, add to the fire...

btw the ketchup tastes so much fresher since they moved to mexico near where they grow the tomatoes...

I'm voting for Nader

In related news - Nader said this week that the Dems were in a conspiracy to keep him off the ballot (he wasn't able to get on in Arizona for not enough votes)

send for me once you get there if you find the locals to be friendly and english speaking...

It's interesting when an overt movement is considered a conspiracy.
The dems tried to blame their loss on the electoral college, when that failed they turned to 3rd party voters.

How is it his fault for appealing to enough typical democratic voters to garner a small section of the electoral college?

If the dems can't compete in a 3 (or more party) system, they just need to throw in the towel now because over time, there are just going to be more and more parties popping up.

Kerry's willingness to alter policy to force the hands of business is disconcerting.

Why would anybody vote for this guy?

Unless you're moving to either coast, be prepared for fat chicks galore.

Canadian Bacon does *not* refer to a type of food. (well not a type a sane man should be eatin')

Incumbents tend to win because people already know what they're dealing with.

Kerry opens a whole new possible list of concerns for the American people:
His lack of plans for Iraq
His lack of plans for the war of terror
He has yet to produce a propsed budget
He has no REAL platform except "I'm not Bush"

Right now, Kerry is mystery grab-bag. We do know that he is considered the most liberal and his running mate is considered the 4th most liberal. Thats really all ANYONE knows about the two.

I thought this was common knowledge...

The ironic thing I find about Edwards is that he cries about Health Insurance being too costly, and he is one of the prime reasons it is that way. That slimy cocksucker sued doctors and hospitals for hundreds of millions of dollars.

The only reason he ran for President is because he knew he would lose his second bid for the senate with only a 30% approval rate in his home state.

What is interesting is how pro-lawsuit stance and the socialized healthcare stances fit together and what it will do to our heathcare system overall...

I see a lot of doctors voting this way

Send me an invite for a meet-up, Molsen is yummy.

The Snopes article disproved nothing. Kerry benefits from Heinz in the way of the 4% interest of his wife. No one ever said that Kerry or his wife run the company. Kerry and the democunts have made outsourcing an issue. He clearly has no credibility when it comes to this topic when he directly benefits from a company that does this.

Personally I think outsourcing is a non issue... If your job is so insignificant that a 3rd world person can replace you, then you need to examine yourself and quit bitching.

Also, a lot of the Heinz products are made in the country they will be distributed to. This only makes sense.

Disproves nothing? The post SSS made said she was the owner of the Heinz Company, right?

However I don't have an issue with outsourcing, as well as how they run their business. I agree it's a non-issue, and Kerry should shut up about it.

Oops... I did not read his whole post. I just assumed it was the investment interest connection.
