The first pic is before the pins were removed from my wife's feet.

This pic shows how dry skin can become when it is completely wrapped for extended periods. Yuck! It's going to take a lot of peeling and lotion to bring these babies back to normal!

She has five more weeks until she will be able to return to work. The healing process has gone pretty good so far. I sure have learned a lot about housekeeping!

I promised her as soon as she is able to walk again and move around easier, things were going to change....I told her I would give all of the responsibilities back to her.

Most guys do not know that many women suffer from bunions. It has a lot to do with the shoes they wear. Shoe designers do not take that into account when dealing with fashion.

She'll be getting all of that once they stop wrapping it. They literally put 3"-4" of guaze on it and an ACE bandage and it stays like that 10 days and then she goes in to have them changed. That is why they are peeling so bad. She got to paint her toenails last night so she was excited about that.

My wife said they didn't hurt at all coming out. She said it was just the thought of them pulling them out that made her feel sick. The dr. pulled both of them out in less than 20-30 seconds total. They just sort of slid right out. He did twist the pins with a pair of grips to get them started but after that they came right out.

Good luck on getting yours out and things getting back to normal. It will be a long road.

She had surgery to remove bunions from the outside of her big toes. They had to shave the bone down and then break the bone and inserted pins in them to help them mend. She just had the pins removed yesterday.

You know.. all bent over at 45 degree angles. But those bunions are not that big. Certainly not big enough to require surgery and pins.

She's a school teacher and has been for 19 years. She is always on her feet and they have bothered her for as long as I have known her with being over 22 years. It was time plus she had a shitty schedule at school!
