I think it's your administrators and the way people are treated when they have a problem that discourages membership.
Am I the only one you see complaining or as you put it "discouraging" people? No, and silencing me like this isn't going to stop it either. The general feeling's already out there. You want to encourage memberships, change the way things are. Don't treat your paying members like 2nd class citizens. Make clear rules that everyone can follow and reference when needed rather than havign these vague guidelines that change from user to user. One guy gets banned for something, now anyone who does that one thign should get banned too.
I'm not telling you all this to be "threatening" or some sort of rebel rouser. I'm just letting you know hwo it is. This is the feeling out there and I'm sure you know that.
I like this place but how can I continue to support or encourage people to (monetarily) support a place that makes me feel insignificant and like they're doing me a favor everytime they help me with a site issue?

From my vantage point, Dunk, for the second or third time now, posted that he thinks the site "was heading down the road of geigh." This is not the first time he has done this. I gave him a refund and a fond farewell, what else should I have done?

doesn't it worry you that people that at one time liked the site enough to feel like they'd be here a "lifetime" are now wanting out? How many lifers did you see on that thread today expressing these senstiments?
You want me to point out one incident, I'm telling you to look at your site. The place is littered with complaint threads. Is it Dunk or Kak or me that are making people think this way, or is it something else?

Having him come on the site and say things like "you fucking cryababies, you're lucky I feel sorrry for you so I'll help you this time. I have better thigns to do than sit here and help you guys" when someone has a problem doesn't help. That's not an actual quote but you get the general feeling.

Dunk is a special case - he's done this to us several times and if he wants to leave and needs a refund, I'm happy to give it to him. I know for a fact that BRR actually likes you too. So what if I promise you that we will work on better diplomacy here. Would you then be able to get back on board? I need strong people like you to support the site - the past few weeks have been rough for me.
