The Fountain

I'm not sure where this should go, please move this to its proper location...

I went and saw "The Fountain" last night and left thinking "what the heck was that about?" Not the chick flick, bodice ripper, feel good movie I thought. Apparently I was not the only one who thought that. One guy feel asleep, two guys thought it was awesome, six girls had the same blank look I did (there were only ten of us there). As girls often congregate in the restroom after a long drawn out movie we began talking about it. I was left more confused, so her are my questions..

During the inquisition was the spanish queen executed?

In the garden of Eden there were two trees. The Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge. Eve took the apple from the Tree of Knowledge right? Why did she not take it from the other tree? Did it not bare fruit? And lastly what would have happen to mankind if she did take from the Tree of Life? My scripture knowledge is terrible, if you can point me in the right direction other than saying Genesis, I can look it up.

Thanks for you imput, and IMO save your $8.00.

Peace

So basically you were expecting a romance and got a movie that actually made you think?

After Eve had also taken the fruit of the Tree of Life, God said that Man would have become as gods, immortal.

This is ancient Babylonian stuff, by the way, and it is very poorly integrated into the rest of Jewish theology (for instance, God keeps referring to himself in the plural).

As always HT you are a beautiful ray of sunshine. Your comment is duly noted and mentally deleted, unless you'd like to enlighten me on what the heck is wrong with me! What a minute..that leaves me wide open. On second thought, thanks for stopping by :wavey:
