Guys, as we all know. Pretty much ever kind of Spyware, Antivirus, Proxy and encryption program you buy from a USA based company has built in back doors for Uncle Sam to use at request. This Company "steganos" Claims to be located in Germany... What do you guys think about it????

what's they site?

fucking german bastards.

The algorithms are the same regardless of where the company is based, being offshore makes thing harder, but not impossible. Time is nowadays the only real constraint, as the relevance of information is lost not in days but in hours and a long enough key will take longer than that to break.

They are a real company though (next door to us), with a known footprint

I doubt it, it will include seizing, for example, their VPN servers (one of the services they offer). I believe that would be possible as part of some major Interpol thing, but a local agency alone? not probable.

as for the encryption, you CAN count on the US agencies having software to work whatever is available out there (AES, 1024-2048 bit keys...). I mean, with the resources they have? If they want to find out what is written in a message they will orb. But that has nothing to do with Steganos itself
