I can vouch for TX (not those two cities, in particular). I just returned from San Antonio and let me tell you...the Hispanic/Mexican population there is HUGE. I mean that literally. They have a ton of overweight Mexicans there. I can see why, too. Everywhere you turn there is a Mexican restaurant...and they sure like to eat.

Well...the Elite statisticians are at it again. "I visited this city and I seen fat people."

The original study was probably pretty bogus as well but certainly better than a week end of eye balling.

[Sure there are 24hour fitness facilities everywhere- go in and witness how many out of shape fatties are chugging away on the treadmill with a coke in the drink holder. California(from what I have seen since moving here a year and a half ago) is filled with ugly ass out of shape people. Not to mention how many Mexicans there are and they are usually not exactly "in shape".

but honestly.. there are a lot of fit people in SF, i think there are alot fat people too... My gym is packed with lotsa good looking fit people.
