As some of you know, I spent most of this summer out of the gym and on huge loads of oxycodone, ending in surgery that fused C6-C7. This obviously was really detrimental to my body in about a gazillion ways.
Well, yesterday evening when I got home from work, my new DEXA scan results were waiting for me.
I'm back up to 253 @ 17% bf on a 6' frame. It seems that the surgery cost me an inch
I still have a lot of work a head of me though. I'm shooting for 265 @ 15% bf by the end of June.
My DL & squat are starting to stall a bit, but I am consistently putting 10+ lbs on my 2" axle clean & press every week (now at about 250), and have moved up my GHR to + 45 lbs (the bar across my shoulders) for 4x15.
Anyway, this post is not meant to brag at all. I just have been feeling weak, slow, and old, and I find writing it all down just shows me how far I have come back and makes me feel a little better about it all.
