Anything you can do on the side to increase revenues? Maybe work out some deals with some people you know? I don't know your situation, but be creative and stuff just seems to happen.
Hmm...maybe. I have some very young contracts that I am still building out. Depending on where they go...I don't want to mislead you...nothing in the near term...
Hope you can get a better deal. what industry do you work in?

I'm in advertising. A senior copywriter. I write about 50 percent technical material, about 40 percent B2B, about 10 percent retail (I've been heavier on the retail side in the past). I also head the editorial group at our agency.
I do a lot of PR feature articles, print media, direct-mail, manuals, catalogs, CD-ROMs (content), Web sites (content) and trade show materials. I also do some video and radio, and some speechwriting. Additionally, I have a background in entertainment writing and public relations writing; and I write fiction on the side for pleasure.
I've been wanting to get into publishing for quite some time.
Bro, you should be giving his money's worth and not a cent more. Stop doing the extra work. You really are worth more than what he is shelling out. take your value to a competitor and see what they think.

I'm not sure I can stop doing the extras -- it'd let too many people down. I am going to start looking at the competition (again); unfortunately, I think it will require an out-of-town/state move to find somebody hiring right now...
