The Best Protein?

The brand doesn't matter. I buy the Optimum's 100% whey, its one of the cheaper brands. I buy the 10lb bags for $44 at nutritionmegastore.com. Another idea is to buy whey protien concentrate from proteinfactory.com. If you don't want whey, or if you want a protein blend you can order that through protein factory.

Designer is by far the best quality whey protein, but ot os not always the most cost effective. Optimum is probably the best buy, and it is up there in quality. If you are looking for a protein blend, opt fot met-rx APM 60 or optimum pro complex)new formula). Blends have a time released effect, so they will keep you in positive nitrogen balance for a longer period of time, so essentially they are better for bulking. When trying to cut, go with a whey...it has a higher BCAA content and a better amino acid profile, but your body will utilize it quicker, so it needs to be taken more often.

Best tasting one ive found is Chocolate Designer... I actually ENJOY drinking it... has to be with 50% milk 50% water or all milk though.... LOVE IT bit yes it is expensive.

STUBS

The best protein is sold right here in the supplements section up top of the site! It's called Triple Threat 3/60. The stuff not only tasttes AMAZING but it comes in 6 lbs tubs... I swear by it now, I will never go back to gnc for powder again...

The best proteins are those that contain a blend of whey, micellar casein, and egg albumin.Examples are...ProFusion,Dorian Approved,Met-Rx,and Advanced Protein.Pure whey is only good RIGHT after a workout, but at other times go with a blend.

By all counts... whey is the way to go!!!

If you have access to "PVL nutrients" they put out a kick ass whey powder. Here is the lo down on it.
~ Ion exchange/micro filtered whey.
~ Contains both whey and glutamine peptides.
~ 20% more glycomacropeptides than most other brands.
~ Fortified with extra lactoferrin.
~ Lactose, aspartame and fat free.

It is designed to raise nitrogen utilization to approx. 60-70% better than soy, egg or casein.
Has both low and medium weight whey peptides which are used to improve endrocrine and hormonal response in IGF-1
And host of other properties that you can read about.
For a full line brocher of their products call:

They would be happy to send you one and answer any and all questions that you may have.... good growing mate!!!

Nitro Tech can be pricey for some, but a lot of people I know say they can literally tell a difference when using it vs other proteins. But other than that I do agree that for the most part whey is whey.

willy you said it best..i used to use designer..it was fair..a lot of powder and expensive..and you would burp really nasty tastes...now i got georges triple threat..it is cheaper and it tastes amazing..i will never go back...it even has all of the vitamins in it so you do not need to take a miltivitamin...buy it right now!

peace

I like Optimum's 5 pound whey. It comes w/ 4 kinds of Whey and it's perfect for after a work out. After a work out i don't think you really want egg or cassein, if what you're looking for is an insulin spike. I take 80g dextrose w/ 50g of optimum's whey. Fats, solid food, and slower digesting proteins like cassein and egg may interfere w/ your insulin spike. This is a great time to shuttle all the nutrients into your muscle, so take advantage of it.

ISS

makes a great product - a little pricey, but is by far the easiest to drink/digest...Tastes fantastic.

Labrada's V60 is REALLY good also. It tastes just like nestle quick, and it mixes very well. Isnt real expensive, and it tastes good mixed with water or milk....which ever you prefer.

"together everyone achieves more"

I dig Isopure with and w/out carbs, mixes good and tastes good with water or milk, also like the stuff that comes in bottles but it is really expensive

PRO PEPTIDE(Yates)..PRO FUSION(Musclelink)...ADVANCED PROTEIN(Biotest)...these are protein blends...casein is highly anti catabolic and whey is highly anabolic..perfect mix.

this is very true, if your gonna take a protein powder, dont waste money on nitro tech, go for pro peptide....
i take n-large myself, i am bulking, but will be going for pro myself when back to plain protein powders...
saying that, i like prolab's pure whey, when taken with milk...you still get casein from the milk, its cheap, lasts ages and is fucking great tasting!!

Optimums whey is super cheap and a good post workout protein -- Optimums Pro-Complex is great with milk and flaxoil before bed, a little costly though. . .

which ever brand you choose, make sure its isolate whey protein.

usually companies sell you a mix of isolate and concertrate whey portein... you want the best, then get isolate whey only.

Another vote for designer protein. I use the french vanilla and sometimes the vanilla prailine. It tastes great and blends very well. It's kinda expensive depending where you go. Always avoid getting it at GNC. I get it at a local supplement shop...a 2lb jug is $20.

optimum nutrition's pro complex. 55g protein, 4g carbs and only 2g fat. 41.95 for 28 servings. tastes best with milk but still good with water and some ice.
