The best damn appliances in the world...

I know Sub Zero is awesome, not really familiar with the other two. I like Viking, as much for the name as anything else. Their stainless line is pretty damn cool.

What's your take on knives?
I have the Henckel Pro S big block with the Chinese Vegetable Cleaver.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Knives are to foodies as drivers are to golf freaks: totally subjective.

I happen to thrive on Masahiro Kitchen knives but I also own Henkel, Global and Wustoff... and assorted small japanese blades. Gyotu rules.

Now, if you REALLY want to hook me up, Kikuichi are my dream knives. A Takohiki style or Yanagi style blade can run to about $1800 per knife... but once you have held one, you know why.

I like SubZero stuff too. Although, I'm probably biased since I drive by SubZero every day on the way to work and have a couple bros and relatives that work there. Oh no, I have said too much. Now you all know exactly what town I live in. Shit.

I have a Gaggenau oven and I was really surprised at how awesome it is. Nothing like anything I ever used before. I think kitchenaid makes a great dishwasher - better than miele IMHO. My cooktop is Alpes - gas - good too.

Gaggenau stuff is really 'over engineered' and I meant that in the highest regard.

They go out of their way to make every detail as close to perfect as can be. Love there stuff. Havent seen a kitchenaid dishwasher over here, but my mom swears by them.

I'd love to have a Sub Zero in my kitchen, but it's too damn small. I went to Expo, and found a nice BIG GE side by side fridge that I would love to have. I just need more room for food, and the current fridge is too small.

I had a chance to see some new fridges by cannon, it is Italian made. They have a polyurethane body and some unique engineering in them.

Need to ditch my diswasher, there is Miele that is totally silent like that and that is completely hidden: the controls are on the top of the door... does that make sence? Looks like a good deal, checking prices after the move, too damn much to worry about right now..
