I watched it last season and had the winner picked from the first episode. This time I'm not so sure but we haven't really had a good look at them all yet. I can tell you, however, that none of the people who went to the final boardroom are going to win.
I thought the cast of last years show was more promising than this one. Still, I don't think this cast or the last cast have very many smart people in them.
In fact, judging by how they executed this current project, I think very poorly of both teams. I saw no evidence of the kind of creativity or 'smart moves' that make someone a success in business. Last year there were a few moments of near brilliance - so few that I remember them:
- when the Hick realized they could win the water battle by selling large amounts to people with small inventory space by spreading the order out over time.
- When the cute blonde suggested selling advertising on the rick-shaws bikes.
Yeah, I think those were the only two incidents inwhich anyone showed any intelligence.
Particularly bothersome to me this season is the way that Harvard MBA kid seems like such a dunce. I know in MY business classes at the lowly GWU we were taught how to approach these types of projects much better.
What's your take on this? I'm tempted to try out for the show at some time before I turn 30 just so I can show those guys how it is done.
