If I plead guilty to felony posession of a chemical substance, and was sentenced to 8 years probation, would I still be able to be granted a concealed handgun license?

No....

You’re only chance would be to get an expungement if available in your state. That will wipe your record clean. Felony convictions, time served or not, prohibits any possession federally.

I know it’s a bullshit rule considering you can get convicted of a Felony for some small bullshit that just happened to be on the books that way. Every time I go for my carry permit renewal they see a list of about 14 felony charges (dropped) and give me a hard time. Eventually they give it to me but it’s always a pain in the ass.
