I have had great success baking test at 220 degrees for 30 minutes, vented of course with an 18 gauge needle.
In the oven 220 degrees brings it close to boiling, but it never actually boils, and 30 minutes is long enough. When we autoclave in the OR it is at pressurized 275 degrees for 12 minutes.
I baked gear once for 35-45 minutes, the plastic tip of the proximal end of the needle melted, not harm, just melted. So keep to 30 minutes.
Oh, and I don’t think baking prop will help, the ester is just made by Satan.
