do you do a lot of weighted ab work? because that can cause the abs to thicken and prodrude even though you can flex them and see cuts...their just thick...........you can still eat 4500 cals and lose body fat as long as their clean and timed correctly.. you might hinder your gains imo dropping cals to 2500
 
yea, i do ab machines, leg swings, crunches, decline sit ups.. abs is my weak point... i was hoping with the dbol make my abs grow as i work them out like the other muscles then when i cut with the var they will show. i figured my gains would hinder if i cut cals so im going to throw that out the window and just eat even cleaner and my cardio is going to have to be heavy.
 
good idea...you dont need weights to see your abs. just low bf for the ave male to see abs bf should be around 13-16% ...10 and under for ripped 6-8 pack on the ave
 
if your lifting them like other muscles....i mean they do have limitations being that their small relative to your main muscles... but they can grow just the same
 
i would say yes same as benching 135 all the time may keep you tone increasing weights will add mass..same priciple
