Test Enanthate 250mg per week for running?

OXANDRIN

New member
As many of you may know. i started doing a lot of running last year and now i'm starting to train for 5 and 10k races. I started increasing my miles per week and i noticed i'm dropping weight very quickly.

I just started QV Test Enanthate. i was thinkin of using 250mg per week to slow down the weight loss. anyone have any suggestions?

do you think test is the right choice? i thought maybe deca would have been better because of its effect on the joints.

Deca is detectable for up to 18 months, but you know that already. Other short acting tests may be worth considering like prop or cyp. Adding a short acting test like prop and some winny @ real low doses should enhance the muscles you are training. Careful with winny if you use, some people have severe joint pain with winny. I never have had the joint pain, but I am low dose guy and I dont run K's...

I dont know of anything bad about enanthate for runners, but I heard a few running guys lean towards the shorter acting lines of test and working in winny. -->peacebro<--

everyone seems to have nothing but negative things to say about winny. if that is the case, why does anyone bother using it? there must be SOME positive things about it. what kind of results are gained from it?

i doubt distance runners would use winstrol.

but people use it because:

- it gives you incredable strength gains
- there is little water retention
- no convertion to estrogen/progesterone
- also good for gaining size
- and oh! its CHEAPER than primo and var

AS for running? What next - AS for those playing ping pong.

Don't get me wrong - 'back in the day" I use to compete in middle distance running - 10K and the like. And I did very well - won my share of events. But never ever would have used AS. Especially to keep weight on - its easier to move less weight over a given distance than it is to move more weight. I am 6'1" and weighed 140-150 LBS when I competed. Now I am doing strength training and have weighed between 205 LBS at 12% and 220 LBS at 9%.

I competed for years in middle distance runs - I was able to knock off about 12 miles per hour - Why not just train and eat well if you want to compete. Why turn to AS for middle distance running - I mean seriously - not all athletes need AS. I definately admire natural athletic competitors more. Trust me don't be afraid to lose weight if you actually want to be competitive in the event.

I have not run competitively in years. I am now planning on competing in 200 meters in June in a state event. I am not doing AS at this time - I am middle aged and have enough toughness to train naturally. Its not uncommon to see fairly big muscley guys in that event - but not a 5 or 10 K. Someone 6'1" and 220 is not going to be putting in the mileage needed to come in first in a 10 K.

I am middle aged and can see AS useage. Hopefully you are not like 21 or something. Why AS for everything.

For improved running distance and speed you need to decrease mass, what's wrong with that?

If you want to stop loosing and your tested, T is the only roid for you. I recommend runing Test suspension right after your hard running workouts. Once you start running more than 1.5 or 2hrs / day you cant keep weight on period. The body catibloizes too much, your T levels cant keep up and the coritosol peaks, but you are fast as hell.

If you need more speed, think euritrihropoiesis (sp?) EPO, GH, IGF1.

I worked so hard to build my body up to what it was. ( with only a few cycles of AAS)

I never wanted to be a bodybuilder i just enjoyed working out and getting results. Now i found a sport which i am enjoying more than lifting. the best part about running is anyone can do it and there are so many events around to compete in. i miss being a competitive athlete.

At the same time i want to put my life into running i don't want to give up everything i worked so hard for.

You can gain back the mass if you decide to. There is some muscle memory. As mentioned I weighed 140 at 6'1" at one point when I ran competitively. And I ate a ton. I literally had a sweat shirt with a big front pocket and sometimes carried food to eat on long runs.

This summer I was about 220 LBS at 9% bf, and I am middle aged.

You have a lot of control over where your body weight and percentages are if you have even a bit of discipline. If you lose it, you can gain it back - next year or many years later.

I have never seen anyone win or even place consistently who was not very lean when it came to middle distance events. I mean skinny type lean. I like being heavier and so am planning on the 200 meter. The event I am training for is in June 2004. So I plan my first time trial this month. I have been running regularly again for about 9 months - 25 to 45 minutes 3-5 times per week. Never over 45 minutes. When I raced mid distance I would run for hours sometimes during training. An hour was one of my short days.

I found my mid distance times improved most when I focused on stride length and not how fast I moved my legs. I had a normal stride for a 10 K that was 6-9 feet in length. I took long loping strides. But my legs did not move that fast. I will start working on my stride for the 200 m after my first time trial. As well with sprints foot flare and arm swing become more important and I will have about 5-6 months to work on that.

I had minimal arm swing for a 10K. I worked on lengthening my stride. As I mentioned about 6 to 9 feet per stride, maybe more like 8 feet- I dunno. The concrete blocks in a sidewalk I use to run were about 3 feet each and I worked on covering 2 to 3 of them with each stride. I sometimes did accessory training such as knee ups and hopping to improve my stride. My stride was almost slow, but very long - this worked for me.

With sprinting I will do alot more explosive training - I have started trying to touch the basketball rim in front of my house with both hands, 3 sets of 10 jumps one day per week just to build explosiveness. Weight training will help, but I need to cut my weight down to about 195 LBS I think

someone said to use a short acting test like prop. well prop injections = pain. so if you plan on injecting in the glute or quad, your shit out of luck, because a lot of ppl say they cant even sit down a while after a prop shot.

if you are insistant about using drugs for running, use EPO's.....i do believe that they would help you out a little more than test.....alot easier to come by as well

Id have to say really bad advice on the EPO. EPO is some serious shit, and carries the potential for disaster, exponentially more so than a little test enan.

EPO is out of the question....

The TE should help me recover from my speed workouts. In the end i'm hoping to stay away from overtraining by increasing my ability to recover

the problem as I see it is you will have a hard time tailoring a dose to prevent catabolism while not causing weight gain that will hurt endurance. I think your best results might be at a dosage that will put your body just over the high range of normal, but by doing that you are supressing your own production, which won't be doing yourself any favors in the long run. Another concern with distance running is the fact that androgens affect electrolyte balance in the blood, which could be a problem with water retention and or dehydration, and it is very hard to keep your electrolyte levels balanced as the androgens affect sodium and potassium reuptake in the kidneys... it is not just a simple solution.

It is probably a lot better idea to stay natural and work on adjusting your training protocal to match.
