Serms compete for Estrogen receptors
That's why there can be the rebound effect after discontinuing the use of SERM's.
I think adex would be a better choice in this case.

Hello bro's,
I seem to be holding water after each test-e 250mg injection.
I am currently taking 250mg test-e every 4-5 days and I have added proviron 50mg/daily and nolvadex 10mg/daily and this has helped but I am still holding water. I seem to gain the water weight 2 days after the injection and then slowly lose some of the water untill my next injection.
Any suggestions, like increasing nolvadex, or will I be shooting myself in the foot by doing this.

i think you should be running an AI like arimidex or letrozole.

An aromatase inhibitor like Arimidex blocks the aromatase enzyme from converting Test to Estrogen.

A selective estrogen receptor modulator like Nolvadex "deactivates" the estrogen that you have. It does not do anything to stop its creation.

In short, an aromatase inhibitor deals with the problem at the source. A SERM deals with it at the outcome.

Drop the nolva, the acex should be enough.
