Test E Powder turned brown

I had about 60g of test e pwder stored for about 6 months. It has changed from a nice white crystaline to brown oil. I'm sure its ruined, any input?

Where did you store it and at what temp???

Test E has a low melting point.

Also, Test E should be more of a paste than a fine powder

It was more of a paste than fine powder before storage. It was stored at room temp in a plastic bag. There was little or no light where it was stored.

I had some that did the same thing. I used it and even a few friends did and it worked fine

I tried to make a batch but it clogged the filter immediately, not that I was looking forward to injecting brown test. I did do a batch of 4-HO-Test that was brown before though.

It will be difficult to recrystallize it without stripping the enanthate ester

It will recrystallize fine without 'stripping' the enanthate ester. Lots of different ways to do it.
If you are familiar with the technique of recrystallization, and have access to the equipment, then no problem.

How about dissolving the test in methanol and then adding distilled water drop-wise until crystals form?

That could work. It will need to be done at a low temperature, and you'll want to be able to do a vacuum filtration to recover the crystals.

Yes, u are right. And I am wrong.

I am too used to doing synovex conversions..

NaOH is what saponifies the ester during the conversion.
